It has already been two months since my second visit to Arjan Troost, this time at garden hide, where I was able to photograph a kingfisher for the first time. I am incredibly happy with that, especially because it turned out so well in portrait orientation. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture a kingfisher in flight, but that is simply part of bird photography.
In addition to the kingfisher, I also photographed my first greenfinch. Still, the black-and-white jay and the woodpecker with the water droplet, together with my first robin and the kingfisher holding a fish in portrait orientation, are my favorite photos from this day.
