It has been two weeks since I took these photographs, but here they are finally on my website. In that regard, I’m a bit behind, but that shouldn’t ruin the fun. Often, you hear people say they don’t have time for photography simply because they are too busy with their daily lives or think they see it every day, so what’s the point. And I must admit, I’ve felt that way too many times. Nevertheless, I regularly grab my camera to take with me during walks with Gucci. Only this time, I did it for a week, but now I only do it during the morning walks. If I came across something that caught my attention, I would take a photo because I didn’t want to take photos just for the sake of context on my website or social media.

Autumn and mushrooms, always a great combination, and you can find plenty of them around you. However, it’s rare that I truly get enthusiastic about mushroom photos. But with these, I certainly am. The light, the tall grass, and the morning dew complete the photo for me.

Now that we’re on the topic of mushrooms, I’ve decided to share these two photos as well. Although I’m a bit less enthusiastic about these, despite finding the left photo quite beautiful. I’ve been wanting to photograph the mushrooms in the right photo for a long time, but whenever I came across them, I never had my camera with me. So, here’s finally my first photo of this kind, even though it’s not the most beautiful mushroom photo I’ve taken so far.

I’ve photographed this house before, but I wasn’t happy with it at the time. I have no idea why I felt that way back then. But, well, this time I’m quite pleased with it. Especially the color combination of the green with the wall colors, the black window frames, and the lit-up light really completes the picture for me.

I have no idea why, but I’m happy with how this photo turned out. Despite the horse’s eye not being in focus and the sky not looking very nice, I really find something captivating about this photograph and love the atmosphere. That’s the beauty of art and photography – it’s all about the personal connection and emotions it.

We live a 5-minute drive from the forest, and sometimes I go there to take Gucci for her morning walk. Usually, I don’t bring my camera with me because I’ve already taken so many photos here. Until now, but even though I find the atmosphere in this photo beautiful, it doesn’t make me very happy.

For a long time, the Emmen fire station has been on my mind to capture in a photo. Don’t ask me why, but I just feel drawn to this building. However, since I switched to Fujifilm, I only have one lens, the 35mm F2, and with that, I can’t capture the entire building in a single shot without resorting to a panorama or a safe way. Nevertheless, I walked there one beautiful morning, and it paid off. Because not only did I capture a beautiful photo of the fire station, but I also got a stunning sunrise with a moving car in the frame.

Of course, Gucci belongs in this serie as well. However, that’s a challenge in itself because she really doesn’t want to pose for the camera. And for me, that’s perfectly fine because I enjoy photographing her when she’s in her element.
