About me

Welcome

Hi, my name is Quirina and I live with my husband Marcel in Emmen in the north-east of the Netherlands. As the daughter of an artist, who was also active in street photography. Then you are literally raised with a camera. First in front of the camera, As the daughter of an artist, who was also actively involved in street photography. Then you literally grew up with a camera. First in front of the camera, because I believe my entire childhood has been documented and developed by my father in a darkroom. And later behind the camera, which started for me during a high school camp.

Soon I got my first analog SLR camera, where I photographed my travels, my dogs, the animals of the zoos and the people I interacted with. They were more snapshots. But to this day, I still like to look back at the photos that I had taken.

In 2017 I only started to delve into photography, but I was looking for a long time in which direction I wanted to go. I joined a local photography club and actually developed myself by getting into shooting in different subjects. Pretty soon, I found out that I don’t have much of photographing people. And a world has opened up for me, with what you can capture with your camera. As a result, I like to experiment in various photography subjects, although the urban landscape and nature are my favorite subjects.
